Bartlett Design Research Folios

Bartlett Design Research Folios is an architectural publication dedicated to design research. The series is as an online resource showcasing original and experimental works by established and early career design researchers at The Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL.

The folios present a great range of subjects and approaches to architectural research. Each folio focuses on a single project, offering an in-depth visual and textual description of its research questions, methods and outcomes. The result highlights the creative and critical role that design practice plays in advancing architectural research.

The series reflects The Bartlett’s overall outstanding research environment. It contributed to the REF2014 national research assessment which confirmed The Bartlett’s position as world-leader in built environment research and UCL as a globally leading research institution.

Included in the series are two Folios by AY Architects: House of Flags and Montpelier Community Nursery.

The project was instigated and directed by Yeoryia who is the founding editor of the series.
